Kashmiris all over the world observe October 27 as Black Day. On this
day in 1947, India landed its troops in Kashmir and annexed the state
in violation of all international laws.Since that day Kashmiris have
launched struggle for freedom from Indian yoke.
Since 1989 when the mass movement against India got a new momentum,
Indian troops in occupied Kashmir have martyred about one hundred
thousand innocent Kashmiris out of which over 7 thousand were martyred
during custody. About 22,800 Kashmiri women became widows and over one
lakh children were orphaned as result of Indian army’s atrocities.
Over ten thousand women were gang-raped and over 1,26,000 Kashmiris
were put behind the bars illegally.
